The crowd part 2

I’ve had a lot of traffic and emails about the crowd scene drawing I posted.
Well, here is an older painting that features a crowd as well. Now, this is older work, and hey, it’s not looking all that good. I did this about 5 years ago. And I actually did it 7 times. It was an exercise for a story I wrote called Conrad the Penguin. I was playing with the general style and my painting style
The first is a rough sketch on the computer based on a quick pencil drawing.
The next two are just me reworking the look of the piece and the style of it.
It reminds me how fun it is to draw a crowd and their various reactions to an event. In this case a VERY cool penguin at the Los Angeles County Zoo. Movie Stars have nothing on Conrad.
