What else have you been up to?

“What else have you been up to?” When I have been asked that question in the past 6 months I would answer - The Lake Oswego Festival of the Art’s Digital Show. I am co-curator of the event and there is a nice story in today’s Oregonian Newspaper about it. We are showing the work of about 40 digital artists in an Invited Artist show and a Juried Artist show. If you’re near Oregon next weekend, stop by Lake Oswego and see some really outstanding digital work.
Excerpts:
“The special exhibit, titled “Pixel: Artists Who Use the Computer,” is expected to attract some viewers who don’t usually go to galleries or traditional arts festivals, said Mark Fearing, a West Linn artist and co-curator of the exhibit with Jeanette Pelster, a Portland photographer.”
“A featured artist will be J. otto Seibold of San Francisco, who has created children’s books such as “Olive, the Other Reindeer” and the “Mr. Lunch” series with his wife, Vivian Walsh. His work also has appeared in books, magazines and in recent Target advertisements. He will discuss his work at 2 p.m. June 23 on the center’s Headlee Mainstage. The fee is $5.”
